Wood & prices
Each load is cut, split and seasoned. Oak and almond burn hot; pine/fir is good for starting fires. You can mix woods in one order.
A full cord is a stack 4 ft high, 4 ft deep and 8 ft long. Kosich sells a “guaranteed full, seasoned cord”, measured to the amount you order.
| Wood | ¼ cord | ½ cord | Cord | Order |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Oak“Hot burning hardwood, typically a bit larger diameter piece that produces a long-lasting bed of coals”. | $220 | $335 | $540 | Order |
| Almond“Hot burning hardwood, typically a bit smaller diameter piece that produces hot coals but less ash”. | $220 | $335 | $540 | Order |
| Hard/soft mixOak/pine or almond/pine in the same load. | $200 | $310 | $475 | Order |
| Pine/fir“Softwood that is great for starting fires but does not burn as hot or as long as the hardwoods with little ash”. | $175 | $250 | $375 | Order |

Tree service · Truckee & Tahoe
Kosich added tree work in 2013. The crew also clears brush and pine needles, hauls away yard waste, and can advise on the permits or approvals you may need.
“They bid on a big removal and trimming job at our rental house and it was very reasonable.”
Our story
Kosich Firewood started in the Bay Area in 1982 and came to Truckee and Tahoe in 2008. Three generations on, it is still a family business.

“Kosich customer service, Kosich consistency, Kosich community! We’ve been their customer for twenty years and counting. They are fair, reliable and support our community.”
Stacking needs a clear path, so earlier is easier. Order online or call the Truckee/Tahoe/Reno line.
